New York, 06 December, 2021 - Pipedrive, the sales-first CRM and intelligent revenue management platform for small businesses, today announced that the company has crossed the 900 employees mark. The growth of the team corresponds to Pipedrive’s extensive development plans for the next year.
According to Oksana Võsa, Pipedrive’s Senior People & Culture Manager, the global pandemic has changed the hiring practices as well as the way people understand work. “In comparison with last year and despite the ongoing global pandemic, the employment market is busier than ever before. The past two years have changed the way we understand work and expectations towards the hybrid work model and the freedom to choose what to work on have increased significantly. It is also interesting to note that the pandemic has also impacted the recruitment cycles. In terms of hiring rates, the past summer was probably one of our slowest. It was most likely the result of the so-called “coronavirus fatigue” that urged people to enjoy the summer instead of committing to new work challenges,” said Võsa.

“Pipedrive has ambitious development plans for the next few years and the main challenge growing as a company lies in the talent pool, especially since the employment market has become somewhat geographically borderless. This has increased the competition for the best talent. In Estonia, home to our two offices, we are currently in discussions with the Estonian Government to expand the rules of the Estonian Startup Visa for established tech companies like Pipedrive to lower the bar for skilled professionals relocating to Estonia or starting a career in a tech company that is no longer a startup,” added Võsa.
Today Pipedrive welcomed its 900th employee to the company. Cláudia Gonçalves has joined the company as an Accounting Manager and will be working in Pipedrive’s Lisbon office. “I feel so delighted about joining Pipedrive and I am looking forward to growing professionally in the company. My first impression was really positive, even before applying for the position in question, as I did some research online and read positive feedback about Pipedrive. When I went through the hiring process, the people I was working with made me feel welcomed and I realized that my initial gut feeling was right. I am also excited about the company culture. Coming from a more formal organization, I like that my new colleagues are professional, but at the same time it is so easy to talk and relate with them,” said Gonçalves.

Developers and engineers account for approximately 48% and Customer Support and Customer Success specialists 20% of the whole team. Product Managers, Research Managers, Designers, Sales Professionals, Marketers, Finance Specialists and G&A make ca third of the team. Pipedrive has 10 offices in 8 countries and more than 50 nationalities are represented by the 900 employees. Approximately 41% of the employees are women.
To mark the recruitment of its 900th employee, Pipedrive is planting a tree in Australia for each of its employees. This symbolic gift, in partnership with One Tree Planted, will help recover Australian forests affected by the bushfires and restore native habitats vital for wildlife.
