Join us as an engineering product manager at Pipedrive, where you'll take the lead on cross-tribe initiatives, collaborate with key stakeholders, and manage the roadmap for Pipedrive’s critical services and tools. Your focus will be on enhancing performance, reliability, and security across our platform. This is your chance to make a significant impact by translating complex problems into actionable plans, prioritizing initiatives, and working closely with teams to drive the successful implementation of cutting-edge solutions.

Your new adventure:

  • Identify the problems from different stakeholders (product managers, engineers), generalize the problem statement, and turn them into actionable roadmap.
  • Drive cross-tribe initiatives: create tasks for tribes launchpads and track the implementation of those tasks.
  • Validate ideas and convert them into missions/initiatives
  • Predict and measure the impact of missions/initiatives
  • Calculate the needed resources(development time + infra costs + other costs) for missions/initiatives
  • Prioritize the missions/initiatives and manage the roadmap of Pipedrive services/tools/libraries
  • Cooperate with mission/initiative drivers on building a high-level plan and making decisions
  • Drive cross-tribe initiatives: take the topic to the architecture guild or driving an arch guild, create tasks for tribes launchpads, and track the implementation of those tasks
  • You will report to the Director of Platform Engineering

More details about your new adventure and what is expected from you:

  • Cooperate with different stakeholders from different departments to align priorities and plan changes
  • Cooperate with other Engineering PMs in the Platform Department and their respective areas of work

  • Your areas of focus as Engineering Product Manager are:
  • Metrics: Performance, Reliability, Security, Observability
  • Services:  Identity, php-app, socket queue, filet, dbregistry, debezium, jura, fe-root, etc
  • Internal tools: Backoffice, Doorman, Secrets service, Alter-engine, Sensitive Service logs, Cache flusher, etc.

  • Examples of things you could work at, among others:
  • Improve the performance and reliability of our platform
  • Identify opportunities to improve the observability of our system (backend/frontend)
  • Plan and complete the deprecation of old systems (socket queue, API events, graphql, web app, etc.)

Does this sound like you?

  • Solid experience in the IT industry, preferably within a SaaS company
  • Proven background as a software developer
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to analyze data, spot trends, and make well-informed decisions
  • Strong proficiency in reading and understanding code in the programming languages used at Pipedrive
