The Quality Team applies its expertise to help Pipedrivers with quality, testing, and training, among other things. We're embedding our quality practices to ensure that each solution element meets appropriate quality standards throughout the development process. Unlike manual testing specialists, as an automation engineer at Pipedrive, you will help developers solve complex engineering problems: starting from overseeing the development process to ensuring that software meets predetermined quality standards, continuing with pairing up on writing scripts through automation of testing, and ending with the creation and maintenance of testing tools so the developers can test their code.
Join our team and bring your fresh ideas and expertise, including quality and test automation skills, to push quality forward.
Your new adventure:
- Participate in expansion/implementation of new test framework to enable developers writing tests
- Partner with various functions, like QA analysts and software developers, in understanding technical and business needs, helping develop suitable test frameworks and creating scalable test solutions through automation
- Define testing strategies to ensure the product being released is up to industry and company standards
- Coach developers on which tests should be automated and how to write tests
- Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and test automation process improvements
- Keep updated with the latest industry developments
- Conduct quality onboarding for newcomers on the rotation base
Does this sound like you?
- 3-4+ years of experience as an automation engineer
- Experience in building test automation solutions, maintaining automated frameworks, and improving testing effectiveness
- Experience with frameworks used for test automation (Cypress, Jest, Mocha, Puppeteer, or Selenium WebDriver, etc.)
- Proficiency with at least one programming language, preferably JavaScript (i.e. NodeJS)
- Ability to work and achieve results without daily supervision while collaborating with other engineers
- Strong communication skills and openness to feedback
- Overall, the role requires multiple skill sets, including problem-solving, troubleshooting, statistical process control, software testing, and, most importantly, automation
Would be a plus:
- Strong manual testing background
- Experience in Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with modern quality assurance practices and tools
- A decent understanding of CI/CD process and tools (Jenkins, Git)
- Experience with container-based architecture and deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in SQL
